I got my workbench cleaned up today.

Frankly getting into both VRC and Hypnosis has been great for me. I've really made some amazing new friends through both.

I'm going to call the network upgrade a success; the old router struggled to give me 400mb of download throughput.

Don't trust people who don't sleep with at least one plushie.

I had the same nightmare all night. I woke up several times, but every time I went back to sleep it would continue. Guh...

The stack of soon to be installed new network hardware is really getting out of hand.

As I settle into my 40s I have realized that the most important thing in life is continuing to learn and grow no matter your age. Just because a person has achievements or comfort doesn't mean it's time to rest. If anything the stability of half a life worked now means its more important to explore.

People talk about this stuff in terms of how much it'll suck for gaming and I hate to inform you how many MRI machines, X-Rays, all sorts of other vital machinery are just a Windows IoT Edition PC in a beige plastic box with a big magnet/accelerator/whatever attached.

Doing a dry fit of the new network hardware. The fact that this is its start up routing is borderline hilarious. Also, can't believe my home network is to the point that I'm using direct attach cables.

I used the "mom whistle" during my morning team meeting when folks were talking over one another and everyone went dead silent in unison. I'm not sure if I'm a little embarrassed for using the tactic, or a little proud it worked. 😅

Had another great hypno session in VRC with Candice last night! Reinforced my little triggers and learned I might have a bit of a mischievous streak ^//^ kept reaching for the wine bottles on the kitchen counter and accidentally got myself drunk lol (Thank you again Candice!!)

Hah! One of my repeat hypnosis subjects starts to drop into trance as soon as I start using my "hypnotic voice" without even having to do a formal induction; its freaking adorable. Eeee I'm getting good at this.

Just ordered a 2.5gb core switch with 10gb uplink since we're dropping fiber into the house tomorrow and I'm looking at needing to be able to support 2.1gb of bandwidth. This is going to be a -massive- upgrade to our Internet access.

Made a chicken Caesar tonight. A pretty simple dish but one of my favorites. Garlic Parmesan bread crumbs, scratch made dressing, crumbled parmesano, carrot ribbons, and oven roasted chicken breasts marinated with olive oil and a lemon herb seasoning.

Shout out to the trans girl collecting for PBS that rang my doorbell. She seemed so happy to see a friendly face.

Whew @plushwah.tf did a number on me last night. I had not gotten to indulge in any "bad ending" TF in ages and it was wonderful.

I've got a new goal: combine my maker hobby with my recent hypnosis work by making an artifact for someone implied to be "cursed" then do the trance work with them to make the curse real. Oh this could be -really- fun. :⁠-⁠D

It's amazing how something as simple as egg wash on a loaf of bread can cause me an entire day of misery. I always feel guilty taking a sick day but I had to today.

I'm really doing a good job of this so far between the hypno play and all of the time I've spent in little headspace. One month down, 11 of being weird to go.

Last night @plushwah.tf took me into a VR kindergarten, put me in trance, dropped me into kid headspace, and read me a story. I cannot get over how the whole experience felt. Since the transition I have been feeling weird about my childhood; getting back a little piece of it as this me was magical.

Our house salad, a variation on a Caeser: Carrot ribbons, Parmesan shavings, red wine vinegar pickled shallots, herbed toasted bread crumbs, shredded romaine, and scratch made Caesar dressing.

Because of where the heater vent is it makes the thermal image of my giant 150mm wrench look like its emanating serious power.

Had my first experience with vr chat. WOW I did not know what I was missing.

It's only 4f (-15.5c) where I am today and I appear to be the only person who braved it to come into the office. The building is eerily quiet.

I was thinking about my work today, and as much as I value my ~21 years working in healthcare, I really prefer social research. It was really hard switching industries but in retrospect I totally made the right decision.

I tried out a new hypnotic induction that I wrote on two consenting friends last night. I was delighted with how well it worked and it's considerably faster than the first induction that I wrote. I'm starting to get really good at this hypnosis thing. :⁠-⁠D

Wild idea: do a Michigan apple orchard crawl this fall with all of my red panda friends.

Someone commented about my perfume this morning and I noted that I made it myself. They asked me what scent it is and I proudly said "Oh! It smells like Apples and Bamboo!" "Cool, what made you pick those scents?" Uhhhhh...... 😅

Whipped potato leek soup with crispy bacon and fried leek greens. The texture was downright velvety.

Wheee almost the weekend. Just gotta get through today then I have plans to do some fursuiting, I have a subject to hypnotise and tinker with, and potato leek soup to make. It's going to be a good one. ^⁠_⁠^
