I'm reading Grant Morrison's Animal Man for the first time and frankly, it's bloody great. I knew it's reputation as the weird book where Morrison goes a bit funny and breaks the 4th wall. What I wasn't expecting was an examination of grief and how it changes a person.

I swear, the only thing keeping this old girl going is the knowledge that she outlived one dog and the determination to do it twice.

This morning a friend of mine told me about his local kebab shop's Saturday Hangover Special. It's a naan bread, cut open like a pocket, filled with donner meat (chicken and lamb), chilli sauce and cheese, that's then dipped in batetr and deep fried. I have thought of nothing else all day.
