It's always bothered me that the PS1 and Dreamcast versions of Worms World Party still use one of the menu elements from Worms Armageddon on the Deathmatch screen. There isn't an equivalent graphic in the PC version, so I think it just got overlooked when they were retooling the frontend.

I've been thinking how weird it is that everyone I know is getting jury duty summons lately. And then I got one! Me! I haven't had a jury duty summons since, what, 2009? 2010? It's been a LONG time.

Simon the Sorcerer I and II are both on sale on Steam right now. Bad news: it's the remastered anniversary versions. Good news: the original versions are available to download as free DLC. The first Simon the Sorcerer is one of my all-time favorite games, and still holds up!

I don't know what's happened to Firefox on my Bazzite desktop, but it immediately freezes when I launch it. I went into Troubleshoot Mode and disabled - and even uninstalled! - all of my plugins and themes, but it still locks up. Refreshing the install works once. It freezes up on second launch.

The GTA games have always wanted to be prestige crime drama AND goofball satire, but they've never been able to thread that needle. It wants to recreate a Scorsese movie in the world of a bottom-rung SNL skit. It's like trying to play Clair de lune on a fart machine. It's never managed it, not once.

Hearing that it was originally aiming for a $750 price point, and I think that's maybe slightly more expensive than I would have been okay with, but I think I would've been able to justify it. I absolutely cannot justify $1,200.

I keep thinking "I need to audition for more audiobooks," and then I don't do that. So this is me posting about it now to make myself accountable.

My hot take: Unless prices for RAM and hard drives go down, consoles are dead. They're done. The current generation of systems keep increasing their prices, the next generation of consoles are already projected to be over $1,000. That's absolutely untenable.

I really wanted a Steam Machine, bit at the price they're asking for one I think I'll just make do with putting wheels on my desktop PC instead.
