Even when people do vote, republicans do everything the can to stymie progress. Or undo the results. Or flagrantly gerrymander. We have to start coming up with something better than Vote. That isn’t going to cut it.

So many people urge us to vote if we are dissatisfied with our democracy. And yes voting matters. But as today’s Supreme Court ruling tells us, it’s not that simple. Not everyone who should have the right to vote can exercise that right.
