Ok! I'm back from the hospital. The technical term for my injury is a "vertebral artery dissection" (spooky) and I need followups to find out if I have Marfan and/or Ehlar Danlos Syndrome. Got a couple new meds and a diet plan just to be safe. I'm hopeful, tbh, it's nice to have names for things ;v;

Welp. Ok, I got a CT scan and they found a little tear in an artery behind my neck. I'm being admitted, and actually I'm kind of hopeful this is the thing that's been causing me pain on/off these last five years because it is solvable!

I've had bad headaches for as long as I can remember, but I think I experienced my first migraine with the "aura" visual component today. Spooked me so bad I'm at the hospital getting checked. Better safe, etc

I think I've discovered my new favorite layout for palettes! It's a color wheel split into three rings: midtones (outer), highlights (middle), and shadows (inner). Still tinkering with this, but it's working out great, plus it's a fun exercise trying to pack all my fav colors into a 7x7 grid, haha.

I have Internet again ;v;. It's much cheaper, at least for this year, and even after that it won't go up to $90. No joke, having no Internet for 2 months did wonders for my mental health. I feel healthier than ever, so I'm gonna blaze through my last commish set and jump right back into Everblue!

Charter was the $90/mo ISP I stopped using. Unfortunately, they are the only broadband/fiber provider in my area, leaving 5G Home Internet as my only other option. Anyone else here use cellular home Internet? Is it decently reliable?

I saw the question going around asking which tablet type artists use, display or non-screen. I have a screen tablet and I love it, but the great thing about them is most have a driver option to use them in non-screen mode, for when you want to give your neck some rest, haha

My health situation for the last 4 years has been a cycle of two weeks of chronic nerve pain in my neck, followed by lengthy migraines, followed by maybe three months of respite -- and I keep needing to remind myself that this isn't normal and that I shouldn't beat myself up over "lost productivity"
