Running into football fans in town is usually nasty & threatening, but today the city has come out for Arsenal and it feels joyful, kind and inclusive and everything I love about the greatest city in the world.

Also felt perfectly safe holding my husband’s hand walking in the Arsenal trophy parade, is nice being openly queer in football space

I became an Arsenal fan in 1979, because of my beloved Liam Brady, and have been ever since. You don't have be born within 100 yards of Highbury Fields to be a true Gooner, just as you can be a true Liverpool or Man United fan and be born in Boston or Accra or Kuala Lumpur. This annoys some people.
