Itās the 136th anniversary today of some highly prized artefacts from Ancient Egypt being auctioned in Liverpool. From there, the 180,000 mummified cats in question went to their splendid and dignified final resting place. A museum? No. They were ground up and used for fertiliser š§µ

Finally found a barber I like. Minimal chatting, good job, quick work and good price. Yesterday he said my recent cold was because of my Covid jabs and waffled on for 25 minutes about it. Lunacy. I can never return and have to find a new barber.

Iāve resisted putting ads on the vole site largely because (a) you get particularly bad ones on games sites etc, & (b) the cookie consent overlay is v annoying ā¦but I have bills to pay, so Iām currently trying AdSense just on Penga end screen to see what it earns. I hate it so much though, ugh.

A few days ago, I stood in the graveyard of an 1100 year old church, getting damper and damper in the drizzling rain. A woman walked into the graveyard, waved, said hello, and, as we had previously arranged, handed me a paper bag full of human bones. The life of a churchwarden is a strange one...
