Surely I can't be the ONLY one who noticed that the inside front cover of the second Superman/Spider-Man crossover was drawn by Frank Miller and Joe Sinnott.

In 1946, cartoonist & illustrator Noel Sickles was sent by Life magazine to sketch the Nuremberg trials. Here is his sketch of the execution of Joachim Von Ribbentrop, who claimed at trial that his boss had made all of the important decisions, & that he was only following orders.

Whoever pasted up the lettering on this job should be horsewhipped. All that empty space on the righthand side of the panel and they stuck the lettering on top of Spidey! I won't mention the uncolored mustache on the unconscious guy if you don't.

When DC did their tabloid-sized Limited Collectors' Editions, they initially tried a different approach. To fit the wider, squatter format--DC added art on one side--often with horrific results! It seems the artists expanding these pages weren't the seasoned pros who drew the stories being "fixed."

This worked fine on splash pages where they could eliminate the indicia and call it a day but in many cases it made it a real challenge to find a chunk of art to cut off without impacting the look of a page.

Something I don't recall people talking about is how the dimensions of the pages in Treasury Editions was different from the normal comics. It was a huge production to reformat pages to fit in the space. Pages in Treasury Editions were shorter and wider, so a strip of art would need to be cut out.

Savage Dragon can do things like have ICE acting like ICE and being horrible because it's not owned by something working closely with the CIA, the FBI, or the Army. Or, Warner Bros and Disney. A lot of indie comics could, really, but props to Erik Larsen for doing it.
