Sorry I'm not more open-minded about LLMs, it's just some fucking maniacs shoveled out a bunch of useless bloatware featuring that technology, did not give me any chance to opt out, reorganized the entire economy around it, zeroed out gains made by green energy, and made it impossible to buy RAM

Grew up watching a Trans woman win Big Brother, hearing music with lyrics that celebrated Trans people, seeing folk flourish as themselves. Now we’re going backwards I will ALWAYS stand against the politicisation and degradation of human rights. Solidarity to our Trans family 🏳️⚧️ 💪🏻

People said a "bathroom bill" would never happen here, and look where we are now. Sex Matters has been campaigning for some time for health records, passports and driving licences (amongst others) to record only assigned sex at birth. They have, as Abigail points out, the ear of the government.

This whole fight over transgender stuff happening on X is so weird to me. The most notable thing about trans issues in the last 5 years has been the enormous, coordinated anti-trans activism campaign across the right, aided by moral cowards in the center. But that campaign is *never mentioned*.

Can this myth please die already? Take it from a therapist who works with tons of trans youth (and has many colleagues who also do so), kids aren't ending up in our office because they're mistaking normal gender-nonconformity for being trans.

Wait, I tell a lie: There were all those pledges and progressive policies they promised as continuity from the previous leadership, which the electorate presumably liked, and which they immediately trashed and shat all over upon taking office, which we were repeatedly told was genius brain strategy.

This is what epistemic vandalism looks like. Not just erasure, but insisting on a standard of communication that is by default dehumanizing, degrading and degendering, laundered as neutral language on pseudoscientific grounds. Encoding bias into how we are even referred to.

I'm somewhat tired of pretending that trans women using women's changing rooms and bathrooms has ever been a problem, as entire legal systems contradict their own precedent specifically to deny trans women dignity and serve up sacrifices to gender-conservatives and bigoted religious groups.

This stuff could be effortlessly used to bury Farage forever, if the lads wanted to: they could run a new, more shocking revelation about him and his party as screaming front page headlines every day, hammering it over and over until the public were puking blood with white hot fury, if they chose.

We said for years: don't normalise having these "debates" about trans people and immigrants. Everyone thought they knew better. And now it's absolutely normal to say trans people are deviants and immigrants are subhuman, and we're having debates about whether women can vote.

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

Please stop saying that Peggie lost entirely or that it's equivalent to 11-1 in a football match. She won. The NHS will likely have to pay her damages. She just didn't win on any of the points she actually cared about. It was a minor win for Peggie, but a loss for "gender criticals" on the whole.

The WI has been trans inclusive since the 70s, before I was born. Do you see who in this scenario was innocently minding their own business, coming to their own arrangements locally? Do you see who is forcefully imposing themselves and their demands upon others, via threats.
