Clive, you’re part of the government that’s introducing the most draconian trans segregation rules of any developed nation. And I’m including Trump’s America. The U.K. is actively anti-trans. In the media, in public spaces, in workplaces, in the NHS… Not because of Reform. Because of Labour.

If you spend all your time hanging out irl and online with people who actively hate a particular minority, it could (I suppose) come as a shock to discover that members of that minority are real people, and that the policies that you've helped deliver have real effects on those real people.

As the updated CoP is set to come into force, I think there's two lines of messaging it will be helpful to push. 1) Trans people never asked for this. None of the disruption and expense is their fault. It's because gender critics have pushed and pushed for blanket exclusion of trans people. (PTO)
