A strange and confusing tale from the bowels of (where else) the New York Times. Has the American Medical Association changed position on trans youth care? A New York Times headline says they "endorsed restrictions" on youth surgeries. Other outlets, including NPR, report they did no such thing.

Tim Allan, who just quit as Starmer's director of comms, was on the board of the trans-eliminationist hate group "Sex Matters", whose director of advocacy Helen Joyce urged transphobes to get through to "decision makers" so that the "numbers" of trans people could be "reduced." That's what they did.

It's almost like just hating people is not a good basis for being competent at anything else in the world.

What bothers me most about the way people are discussing the Epstein files is that most seem to be treating the matters they address as things that occurred in the past, for which justice must be done, and not things continuing to happen, with children in urgent danger.

BBC says ex director of communication Tim Allan was close to Mandelson and resigned because he has something that would be quite "embarrassing" for him that will come out in the days ahead. So are there any senior member of staff at number 10 that isn't a nonce?

McSweeney was only able to concentrate on appeasing the right as a strategy against Reform/Tories. As basic history will tell you, appeasement is always counterproductive. But he was unable to deal with the resulting attacks/dissatisfaction from the left. Walking & chewing gum must have been hard.

The phrase “gender ideology” is only ever used by people advocating genocide of trans people. It is a signifier of genocidal intent by people who don’t want to say “trans people should not exist.”

This is a massive scandal.
