i think my take on the spat is 1. it reflects badly on everyone involved 2. corbyn should've put his weight behind someone else, not tried to lead the new thing

This is worth a listen. I’ve never before grokked that conservatism is a disposition (not an ideology), that a lot more people are conservative than will own it, and that “centrism” is not an ideology or coherent belief at all. Centrists are conservatives posturing as “the adult in the room.”

An excellent discussion of the fascist project behind bathroom bans and anti-trans politics from @polphilpod.bsky.social. We need to organize against this evil garbage in Canada, because I suspect Conservatives will run increasingly hard on transphobia in federal and provincial elections.
