Bacterial Shedu immune nucleases share a common enzymatic core regulated by diverse sensor domains Gu et al. show that bacterial Shedu proteins are a broad family of immune nucleases with diverse N-terminal sensor domains that regulate a common C-terminal DNA endonuclease domain.
