I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc... Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.

One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

Minnesota employees should keep in mind that if they have earned sick and safe time available, they can use it for mental health treatment on a single day, and their employer must allow it.

🧵This is hugely important & touches on a thing lots of folks haven't been faced with: You can't trust everyone who says they're on your side It's hard to vet people on the fly but skepticism goes a long way. In a case like this: Ask for a name & phone number & say you'll pass it along. That's IT.

A five year old was abducted by ice and sent to Texas. The fact that you have nothing to say about that says you are not the leader we need in this moment or in the future. And frankly your constant posting about everything but what is traumatizing your constituents is unforgivable.

Will Democratic "leaders" like Schumer continue to support & fund ICE now that a memo revealed they are ignoring the 4th Amendment, and the autopsy showed they murdered Geraldo Lunas Campos in detention and they have expanded their reign of terror to Maine? If so, why?

It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by. Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?
