I toured the recently renovated expansion of the Phoenix Electrical Apprenticeship today! Apprenticeships, technical training, and expanded pathways to education are key to our state's economic success. I look forward to supporting them as they train the next generation of electricians in Arizona.

Great to join IBEW Local 99 in Cranston to welcome IBEW President Kenneth Cooper. Rhode Island is a state that values hard working and supports organized labor. I am proud to stand with those in the labor movement working to build our state and strengthen the American middle class.

An incredible day in Granite City. After we put the pressure on, U.S. Steel has reversed its decision to stop sending slabs to Granite City Works and WILL be keeping the plant open. This is a huge, hard-fought win for our steelworkers and the entire community.

I am always appreciative of the opportunity to spend time with the men and women of our labor community. Today I met with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters to discuss how we can best support their work to uplift workers and families everywhere.

Trump and the Republicans have gutted Medicaid and now they are coming after the Affordable Care Act. I met with the United Nurses and Allied Professionals to discuss how I am fighting back - including by voting NO on any budget that doesn’t support health care.

When @uaw.org workers in my district struck two years ago, they weren’t just fighting for themselves; they were fighting for every working family. I was proud to stand with them then, and I always will.

The House Republican majority is trying to cut the Department of Labor by 30%. It’s clear they don’t give a f*ck about workers.

🚨Today, the Appropriations Committee will vote on House Republicans’ spending bill to slash worker protections 🚨 Their proposal cuts DOL & NLRB by nearly 1/3, which means these agencies won't be able to fulfill their mission to keep workers safe & support the right to unionize.

I stand with Amazon Teamsters as they rally in Queens today. A majority of drivers at Amazon's DBK4 facility in Maspeth have opted to unionize. I proudly stood with them in Queens after they opted to unionize in 2024. Amazon must recognize this and start bargaining for a fair contract now. ✊

On Labor Day, we honor the achievements of American workers. From securing safer working conditions to establishing the 40-hour work week, union workers have built a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous nation.

Today on Labor Day, we must recognize the workers across the country who build our economy and strengthen our nation. We need to fight for a living wage and stronger unions as we work to reindustrialize America.

On Labor Day, we celebrate America’s workers and the labor movement.  America’s labor movement helped give us the minimum wage, overtime pay, the 5-day work week, paid leave, pensions, workplace safety laws, child labor protections, and so much more.
