Today, BPS staff released their code proposal for making the Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub safer. On first glance, it's pretty good. We didn't get everything we asked for, but the major pieces are present including a prohibition on all new liquid fuel terminals + a mandatory fuel drawdown.

A couple of years ago, the Democrats in the Oregon legislature passed a domestic terrorism law over of the objection of civil liberties advocates, environmentalists, and ordinarily reasonable Oregonians who told them this would only be used against the left. It fits right in with Trump’s strategy.

We will not pay dues to an organization that fights against police accountability measures and supports efforts to intimidate city councilors.

For those who don't know, there is a battle over whether or not the Portland Police Association (PPA) will be allowed to join the Northwest Oregon Labor Council, the large regional labor coalition. They were invited summarily by a leader and are being supported by unions who pay for votes. 🧵

When leaders at the Northwest Oregon Labor Council voted to allow the Portland police union to join their ranks, it prompted a sizable controversy among labor and police accountability advocates. The council will now take a wider vote on the issue at the end of the month.

This is bad. Dude has ties to Fuentes, Proud Boys, Patriot Prayer, and 1st Amendment Praetorian. Basically a list of the groups that got into the most street fights with those who opposed Trump in his first term.

The police union’s admittance is now in question after labor critics took issue with it.
