Tomorrow we will finally vote on extending affordable care act funding. So I say to my Republican colleagues: instead of buying Greenland and building ballrooms, let’s give much needed relief to the American people.

A life was tragically lost today in Minneapolis when an ICE agent shot a United States citizen. There needs to be a full and complete investigation, and ICE agents must be held to the same level of accountability as members of any other law enforcement agency.

Do not let anyone rewrite the history of January 6th.

This afternoon, I visited Presidential Place in Cranston—an affordable apartment complex for Rhode Islanders age 62 and older. It was great to hear directly from residents about their experiences and why accessible, affordable housing is so important for seniors across Rhode Island.

On January 6, Congress will vote on extending Affordable Care Act funding that keeps health care costs down for working people. This is a real chance to protect affordable coverage. Republicans must join Democrats and vote YES to protect the Affordable Care Act.

12,000 Americans are out of work days before Christmas because Donald Trump doesn’t like windmills. They have to explain that to their children, wives, and husbands. Trump’s culture wars are bad for America.

Parents trying to get job training face real barriers, one of those being access to child care.   The Parental Workforce Training Act helps offset those costs with federal grants to open more work opportunities for parents, and I am proud to co-sponsor it.

Small businesses are feeling the consequences of the tariffs this holiday season. Supply disruptions and rising import costs are making it harder for local shops to stock shelves, keep prices reasonable, and turn a profit. President Trump needs to reverse the tariffs now.

Most of the men sent to CECOT had no criminal records. Some never even entered the US illegally (like Andry Hernandez Romero - look him up). If the Trump admin can send these men to a torture prison w no due process they can do it to anyone. Thats the truth they don’t want told.

Stopped by the @ProvFirefighter Brook Street Station to thank some of the first to respond to the scene at the Brown U shooting. Their fast and heroic response saved lives and our whole state is grateful.

There will be many lessons to take from the tragedy at Brown. One is this: spreading baseless theories and false accusations online causes real harm. Innocent young people have had their lives upended by reckless online speculation. It is damaging, and it must stop.

Great news! Jim Brown’s wife Donna has been released & the deportation case against her has been dropped. A happy ending to one of many tragic stories of innocent people whose lives have been ruined by the Administration's reckless and cruel immigration enforcement practices.

In the face of the horrific shooting at Brown University, people came together. I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, healthcare workers, and all who acted with courage and compassion when it mattered most.

A big update on health care. We have forced a vote in the House on extending the Affordable Health Care tax credits:

Providence showed up in full force for the Community Angels Annual Coat & Toy Drive. It is always awesome to join volunteers working to ensure every child and family has warmth, dignity, and joy this winter season.

Earlier this week, Kristi Noem told me under oath that she has not deported veterans. I then introduced her to one that she did deport. But it’s much worse than that: @moulton.house.gov got DHS to admit that they’ve deported at least 8 vets and are planning to deport dozens more.

If your holiday gifts feel more expensive this year, it is not in your head: it is the tariffs. So many families already stretch every last dollar to put gifts under the tree for their kids, and these cost increases are making it that much harder.

Secretary Noem tried to tell me that she hasn’t deported any veterans. I introduced her to one.

Magaziner: How many US military veterans have you deported? Noem: We have not deported military veterans. Magaziner: We are joined on zoom by a gentleman who is an army combat veteran who was shot twice while serving our country. You deported him to Korea.
