Day 40 of America held hostage by this Trump shutdown. Democrats are fighting to ensure all Americans have access to quality, affordable healthcare. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

Republicans haven’t come back to work in over a month. This isn’t a vacation this is a fight for Americans’ healthcare, and I’m not giving up.

Republicans are refusing to come back to Washington while New Jersey families are receiving notices of a nearly 175% spike in healthcare premiums.   All Americans deserve access to quality, affordable care. It’s time for them to get back to work and do their jobs.

42 M Americans — including 1.2M veterans — stopped receiving SNAP benefits. Trump has the ability to fully fund and issue all SNAP checks, which he was court-ordered to do. Trump chooses not to. Hunger shouldn’t be a political weapon. Veterans and families are not pawns.
