Last year, Republicans held more than 15 anti-LGBTQI+ votes on the House floor. That time could’ve been spent helping all Americans but instead the House GOP decided to focus on targeting our community. The GOP's priorities are clear: politics, not people.

We couldn't agree more with Commissioner Kotagal, who voted against the EEOC's recent decision that asserts that the categorical denial of insurance coverage for trans-related health care is not sex discrimination. REMINDER: the EEOC's ruling is NOT binding on federal courts.

Florida just restored access to low-cost HIV prevention medications for 12,000+ people—for now.   This fight isn't over. Trump's Big Ugly Bill & the expiration of the ACA tax credits are putting pressure on states' AIDS Drug Assistance Programs, pushing states to cut eligibility.

Americans are feeling the pain of sky-high prices but the GOP is spending this month trying to censor schools, throw parents & doctors in prison, ban kids from playing with their friends, & handing Trump near-total power over the location of the American Women’s History Museum.

The ACA made care more accessible for millions of people, including by guaranteeing protection from healthcare discrimination on the basis of sex. Trump's HHS, however, RESCINDED guidance that clarified that the ACA prohibits sexual orientation & gender identity discrimination.

GOOD NEWS: A federal judge ruled against RFK Jr.'s declaration that care for young trans people was "unsafe"—part of what HHS was using to intimidate providers into ending this care. Medical decisions shouldn't be up to politicians—they're for doctors, patients, & parents.

🚨BAD BILL ALERT🚨 Republicans on the Education & Workforce Committee are marking up a federal "Don't Say Trans" bill to ban all discussions of trans people, characters, or topics in public schools—and even Gay/Straight Alliances. Here's what you need to know:

The Trump Admin deleted important survey questions that federal agencies use to ensure communities like the bi+ community aren’t being left behind in critical public health programs. In Congress, our members will always fight to protect their health. #BiHealthMonth

Access to mental health care is critical to so many LGBTQI+ peoples' wellbeing, including young LGBTQI+ people. That's why our members have been fighting to restore 988's specialized services for LGBTQI+ youth in crisis ever since the Trump Administration cut them.

It's not a hard question: conversion "therapy" is a disproven & deceptive practice that has no place in modern medicine. That's why last year, our members filed a brief urging SCOTUS to uphold states' bans on this harmful practice & protect young LGBTQI+ peoples' mental health.

Authoritarian regimes go to great lengths to demonize & "other" the LGBTQI+ people—but LGBTQI+ people are in every country & every community, and no law can change that. We stand with our LGBTQI+ siblings in Russia against this oppression & in their fight for equality.

Our members are fighting every day in the halls of Congress because we believe that the promise of "liberty and justice for all" means liberty and justice for the LGBTQI+ community, too.

Several factors—including Republicans allowing the ACA enhanced premium tax credits to expire—are causing states across the nation to restrict access to AIDS Drug Assistance Programs. The GOP prioritized billionaires' tax cuts, & Americans living with HIV are paying the price.

No person should have to fear harassment, discrimination, or violence because of their HIV+ status. On #ZeroDiscriminationDay, our members join together with leaders around the world in recommitting to putting PEOPLE FIRST in the fight against HIV & AIDS.

In 2026, there are still jurisdictions—including some states in the US—that criminalize HIV transmission or enhance criminal charges for HIV+ people.

No one should face this type of discrimination & criminalization, because #HIVIsNotACrime.

Surveys are part of how the federal government identifies communities' needs. By erasing survey questions about the LGBTQI+ community, the Trump Admin is sabotaging agencies & policy makers’ ability to address disparities impacting the LGBTQI+ community & support LGBTQI+ people.

Today's decision by the EEOC to overturn protections for transgender federal employees is a disgrace. This is exactly the kind of discrimination the EEOC was designed to fight, but under Trump & Chair Andrea Lucas—the EEOC has enabled more discrimination than it has ended.

People rely on their driver's licenses to meet their basic needs—like getting to work or the store—and, in Kansas, to vote. Now, KS is stripping trans people of their accurate IDs, including driver’s licenses, in an election year. This is dangerous & cruel voter suppression.

The Kazakh government is weaponizing its power to try and intimidate LGBTQI+ activists into silent submission. We stand with the LGBTQI+ community in Kazakhstan. The government of Kazakhstan must follow due process & cease harassment of human rights defenders.

The 4th Circuit reversed a lower court's ruling that struck down the military's ban on people with HIV enlisting.   HIV is treatable & servicemembers with HIV have proven they're fit to serve—it's irrational to deny those with HIV the opportunity to enlist. This is discrimination.

Reverend Jackson was a champion in the fight for civil rights, including the rights of LGBTQI+ Americans. We are deeply saddened by his loss—but we remain inspired by the legacy he leaves behind. Together, in his memory, we will fight to keep his hope alive.
