This is about delivering for you. And I’m not stopping now.

This is the despicable, but predictable result of an agency that laughs off oversight, receives billions to deploy lethal force on our neighborhoods, and seems to believe they are above any accountability and the law.  Well, they’re wrong—we’re here for answers and accountability.

I want to know, does the acting director of ICE think he’s going to hell?

When Trump tries to throw me in jail, he’s trying to take away the voice and representation of the people who elected me to serve them—my constituents. I talked with @tegareacts.bsky.social about why attacks on legislative immunity affect us all.

We need to hold ICE’s feet to the fire.

On the House floor, I paid tribute to the life and legacy of dedicated NJ-10 educator, Mr. Terry Woolard. His dedication wasn’t just to do his job—but to create a lasting impact on his  students beyond the classroom.

From 1964 to 2026, we’re still asking the same question: Is this America?  This Black History Month, we recognize how Black women have always stood in the gap, bridging the distance between the nation we are promised and the reality we still face today.

Donald Trump is ripping up the Gateway project, which would be good for NJ business, NJ commuters, and great for our state—but he doesn’t care about making your life better, he cares about himself.  I joined @booker.senate.gov to demand better. Let’s get the Gateway project back on track.

The president doesn’t think Black and brown people are human. It’s in posts and it’s in his policies. We’re numb to this from him, but we won’t stop calling it what it is: racist and disgusting.

Follow the money. There are people who have volunteered to go back to their country, but are still waiting in ICE detention centers… Why? Because private prisons make money off of locking people in cages.

We should definitely abolish ICE.

Today, on her heavenly birthday, we celebrate the courage of civil rights trailblazer Rosa Parks. By sitting down on a Montgomery bus, she stood up for freedom and inspired changemakers everywhere.

You cannot conduct legislative oversight of an ICE facility from behind a desk. Fighting this case allows me to fulfill my congressional duty—holding this administration accountable.

This Black History Month, let us celebrate the heroes who have paved the way for us and recommit ourselves to the work still ahead of us.

This isn’t just about one Black girl from Newark, this is about making sure we can hold Trump accountable. And every day we’re seeing more attacks from this admin on officials who are doing their jobs.

I was grateful for the opportunity to honor the legacy of MLK and pour into student scholarship recipients.  I urged our young people to ask, “where do we go from here?” and am asking young people to write under that question in our Black History Month Essay Contest. Applications open now!

The process is the punishment.  This administration is using your tax dollars to prosecute me. This is a tool to further their agenda to silence and intimidate anyone who can hold ICE accountable. I’m not going to let them bully me out of doing my job.

Trump’s administration is going after anyone who can and will hold them accountable. Arresting Don Lemon—a journalist—is part of their concerted, ongoing effort to silence anyone who disagrees with them or even tries to shine a light on dissent.

When I’m working in my district, or even just walking around my neighborhood, I hear about how expensive life is.  Congress has a job to do. That’s why I advocated for the expansion of affordable housing and rental assistance by co-sponsoring the Housing for All Act of 2025.

Some amazing moms from @momsrising.org—alongside their babies—came to the Hill to present “Sparkling for Families" trophies! 🪩 As a mom myself, it’s no surprise to hear that making the basics easier to afford is a top priority. And I am working on tackling it every day in Congress.

After being attacked at a town hall last night, @ilhanmn.bsky.social didn’t let it stop her from showing up for her constituents. She is fearless. But this is sick. Leaders are being targeted just for doing their jobs. This is exactly what Trump’s hatred and bigotry lead to.

Kristi Noem has got to go.  Weeks ago, I called on her to resign. And I’m an original co-sponsor of a resolution calling for her impeachment. Step down or get impeached—one way or another, we’re getting Kristi Noem out. Her cruelty must end.

Trump’s pause on the Gateway Program is a gut punch to all of New Jersey—ripping away thousands of jobs, guaranteeing longer commutes, and clawing at our economic future. These dollars were fought for in Congress. They belong to NJ commuters, not Trump.

Greg Bovino has been removed from his role as Border Patrol chief and is set to leave Minneapolis. Pressure works. Getting Bovino out is a start, but it’s nowhere near enough. We must remove Kristi Noem and get ICE out of our communities.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the memory of six million Jews and all victims of the Nazi regime, and recommit to fighting hatred and antisemitism.

Federal agents have once again shot and killed someone in Minnesota. This man was on the ground when agents fired. Get ICE out of ALL of our communities now. None of this is justifiable.

Jersey City was built by immigrants who came here looking for dignity and safety. Trump tried to target us for our sanctuary status. We won’t hand over our power to ICE. Alongside @menendez.house.gov, I’m proud to fully support Mayor Solomon’s order to keep Jersey City a sanctuary city.
