Trump's playbook is simple: if you can’t win fair, cheat. That’s what this executive order is: the latest in a long list of ways he’s trying to avoid being held accountable by the people.  He’ll do absolutely anything to keep power—from threatening critics to voter suppression.

Legislative immunity doesn’t put lawmakers above the law, it’s there to protect the people. Your representatives are your voice and that voice can’t be taken away because Donald Trump can’t handle dissent. Trump is trying to make an example out of me—but I won’t back down.

Congratulations to the incredible winners of the NJ-10 Black History Month Essay Contest! These students reflected on the state of Black History and challenged our perspectives through their writing. I was proud to honor them last night.

Happy Trans Day of Visibility!  The fight for equal rights and equal respect is far from over—but we are all in this fight together and  I will always stand up for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Equal Pay, predictable scheduling, paid family and medical leave, the right to organize at work, and workplaces free from discrimination and harassment. These are the basics we’re fighting for. I joined @demwomencaucus.bsky.social in solidarity for Equal Pay Day.

Infrastructure that makes life better: that’s what my Parks to People Act would provide. I’m proud to be going big on outdoor spaces that make biking and walking safer and easier.

Nothing about this administration surprises me. Their agenda is cruelty. @mehdirhasan.bsky.social gets it right: they are trying to make an example out of me so that other members of Congress don’t stand up to ICE to protect their communities.

Republicans need to stop playing politics with our safety and adding stress to travel—and anytime you add ICE to the equation, things only get worse. They need to pay TSA workers and stop ICE’s recklessness, not spread it.

Trump never fails to reach a new low, and Republicans never fail to make it their new standard.

When they try to silence us, we only come back louder. I'm grateful and relieved that Leqaa Kordia has finally been released and can go home to NJ. None of this should've ever happened just because Leqaa exercised her right to free speech. This admin must be held accountable.

In West Orange we don’t play about St. Patrick’s Day! I was lucky to celebrate our Irish community at the 73rd Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade🍀

This week for the 10th, I was out in the community: 🎤Talking to our community at my State of the District address. 🍀Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in West Orange. 🚒 Meeting with the Newark and Camden Fire Department.

The road to the World Cup should be paved with goals, not traffic. I’m making sure fans have a safe and affordable ride to the big game with an over $10 million grant toward NJ public transportation from USDOT.

At my State of the District address, I made it clear: My job is to work for you—and I won't stop.

In order to avoid holding ICE to the bare minimum of accountability, Republicans are forcing TSA officers to go without pay during the partial shutdown. Republicans are willing to trade the dignity of our essential workers for their cruel agenda.

An attack on a synagogue is an attack on religious freedom in this country. I’m horrified by the violence at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Antisemitism must be confronted wherever it appears. No one should be met with fear when they enter their house of worship.

💵 Grant Alert! 💵 Investment in NJ-10 starts with putting our kids on the right track. I am happy to announce a $1,029,019 grant for Clinton Hill Community and Early Childhood Center, Inc., supporting Early Head Start and child care partnerships.

ICE is testing our humanity and the strength of our democracy. The work is ours to defend the America we want. And I know we can do it together.

At my State of the District address, I talked about a neighbor who showed me her rising healthcare premiums and told me she might have to go without coverage. It’s why I went back to DC the same day as surgery to vote—because when your coverage is on the line, I show up.

NJ-10, we’ve been tested and tried, but we’re not backing down.  At my State of the District address, I told NJ-10 how I fought to bring federal dollars home, support our small businesses, and protect our rights—and I’m fighting for even more. That’s the work.

On the House floor, I was proud to shout out Andrés Acebo, the 13th President of New Jersey City University. From steering NJCU back from a fiscal crisis to expanding opportunities for Hudson County students, his leadership reflects his resilience and deep community roots.

💵Grant Alert! 💵 I'm committed to pushing health and wellness forward in NJ-10. I'm happy to announce $802,015 for @rutgersupress.bsky.social to do the do research that makes better health a reality. This grant will go towards diabetes endocrinology, and metabolic research.

I loved reading with students and celebrating the power of books at Newark Educators Community Charter School and Michelle Obama Elementary during Read Across America Week. It’s important to me that NJ-10 kids understand how reading builds empathy and sparks imagination.

Our NJ-10 community iftar is one of my favorite events of the year. My heart was filled with joy from this time of fellowship and nourishment with you all.
