Let's hear it for the North Concord/Martinez BART station!!! The Yellow Line hub turned 30 last Tuesday. When it opened on December 16, 1995 it was first new station to open in the BART system since the Embarcadero Station opened for passenger service in 1976.

News: The BART Board of Directors during its meeting today unanimously elected Melissa Hernandez to serve as its president for the 2026 term. She is the first Latina to serve on the BART Board of Directors and now becomes the first Latina to serve as Board President.

Update: Repairs are now complete and we’re restoring normal service on the Blue Line. Repair crews worked all night and into this morning to repair the trackway that was damaged by a motor vehicle crash between Castro Valley and West Dublin/Pleasanton stations.

Crews have been working all night to repair the trackway between Castro Valley and West Dublin/Pleasanton stations. We are reducing normal service from two tracks to one between those stations to complete repairs. There is service to all Blue Line stations and no platform changes for riders.

Update: A crane has arrived on the scene and is getting into position to remove the car from the track. Once the car is removed and inspections complete, we'll run trains on a single track between Castro Valley and West Dublin for the rest of revenue service. ETA for single tracking is 6:30pm.

This was one for the books! BART supporters came from around the Bay Area to Rockridge Station to celebrate the holidays at SweaterFest. The lively energy filled the Rockridge Plaza with cheer. We crafted, danced, sang, took rides in the BARTmobile and snapped tons of pictures. It was a blast! 💙🚇

There is a major delay in all directions due to a power issue between Powell and Embarcadero stations. Electricians are on scene. There is currently limited service through the Transbay Tube on the Yellow Line. We have service to all 50 stations but there are major delays in all directions.
