Every couple months I check in on the latest Adrian Chiles articles and I’m always absolutely blown away. These are all from the last couple months. The man is operating at an incredibly high level.

Probably my hottest take is that most parents shouldn't be driving for the first three to seven years of their child's life. You wouldn't be operating heavy machinery with that level of chronic sleep depravation in any other job. Now this would require huge systematic change so won't happen but...

It's really fucking hard. I was a childminder on and off for a decade and that was EXHAUSTING, but it was only during working hours. Parents have to parent 24/7. Some parents make it look easy, and kids being adorable does help, but it's probably the hardest (and most important) job in the world.
