Last night City Council unanimously passed our joint Protect Portland Initiative resolution and @councilorkanal.bsky.social's ordinance to codify our Sanctuary City status into law. We know that more work is needed, but the resolution and the ordinance give us a solid foundation.

The #NoKings protest this weekend will be the largest pro-democracy mobilization in history. It makes sense that the fascist, authoritarian dipshits on the wrong side of history are freaking out and trying to scare people into not showing up, because they are terrified of us and our resolve.
