Something I always end up resenting eventually whenever a rich & powerful man has a long history of sex offending is how much the convo ends up being about the fact that he’s rich and powerful. Like reg ppl don’t still pal around w/ their loser rapist friend/family member who is just some guy.

Woke is good! People should be woke! We just can't let it get hopelessly hijacked by vindictive psychos playing out their power fantasies to compensate for their political impotence.

the primary reason rightwingers will never control culture is because everything they do is hinged upon it being a reaction to the broader culture. the TPUSA half time event would not exist without it being a representation of their grievences

I really want people to think about this. After all the insane lawsuits, all the threats, all the bullshit weve seen from this admin and the targets who kneeled in fear, an average Joe called the president a Pedophile protector to his face and didn't get touched. That's the Power of a union.

this was way more prevalent when i was still on tiktok but it feels like people are getting really weird about alcohol, coffee, anything that might make you happy--even in innocuous amounts! feels like we're re-engineering puritanism as a method of maintaining control (over ourselves, each other)

I think growing up in the specific time we did has a lot of us taking "they'll just jailbreak it" for granted. There still isn't a working root for Amazon tablets made after 2019. The Xbox360 is 20 years old and we're only just now seeing a softmod on the horizon. They can lock stuff down now.

Not arguing with any of the thesis because I haven’t looked into anything being discussed here but I really can’t get over how far she’s fallen. How must it feel to go from being a real journalist to a flames info graphic YouTuber? Like it legit makes me sad

Even crazier is that some

has suggested that schools and neighborhoods have gotten more segregated in the past 20 years or so and many areas of the country are basically back to pre civil rights segregation.

This is true. And all the more striking because we *barely* integrated. Most organizations remain highly segregated but even minor integration was too much for some folks.

On Polymarket you can now bet on how many people in a different market on Polymarket think Jesus Christ will return in this calendar year. 29% of bets say that more than 5% of bets in the Jesus Christ return market will be a "yes" 9 days from now. Anyway everyone involved in this needs jailtime.

If you read between the lines of any short vertical company’s PR announcement, it’s very clear nobody is watching them. Of course, I cannot predict the future but when all the announcements are 70% increase in subscribers! That’s easy to do when you only had 50K to begin with lol
