Teyana is so good in OBAA. From completely commanding Sean Penn in Those Scenes to the pure emotion when we only hear her voice from the letter she wrote, she just bodied this role in a way that I canāt get over.

THE RAZORāS EDGE (1985), a Lebanese movie directed by Jocelyne Saab that depicts a teenage girl living amidst war; coming of age in violence. Its perfect blend of reality and surrealism has stayed with me.

I don't know what will happen in NYC tonight, but I do know that regardless of outcome, any number of public figures, celebrities, politicians and institutions that oppose Mamdani have done so with a level of rhetorical ugliness, racism, and dishonesty that should neither be forgotten nor forgiven.

Hello! I come to you from a place called Facebook, where zealous single-issue anti-Mamdani voters are a real thing. Also from a place called "the Upper West Side," which, same. So to anyone out there who thinks he has this in the bag: No victory laps yet. A good day to vote is TOMORROW.
