I am going to post this once, and I'm not going to argue about it. We have pretty strong evidence that Charlie Kirk's murderer was motivated by frustration with the "hate" in Kirk's politics. We have no evidence that he was a Groyper.

Let's all to take a deep breath & understand that we have reached the phase in fascism where if they want to declare you a criminal, you are a criminal. You can not magically avoid it, or do exactly the right thing to stay off the list. Fascism must always have enemies, and one day you will be one.

I do not know another way to express to people that trying to appease fascists by âbeing a good minorityâ or totally deferring to them publicly has saved absolutely no marginalized group or profession in human history. They are coming after us anyway. Even if you scold peers for not being nice.

Can people please stop making it sound like signing up online for information on a protest is the end of the world? Yes, it's arguably unnecessary. Yes, it's a teachable moment. But the average person has already left a lot of potentially "incriminating" data that's just as easily obtainable.

Amid these ICE raids, something folks should understand about the Chicago suburbs is that a lot of stereotypes about the era of white flight from the city do not apply. A lot of these folks were priced out of Chicago and many commute to work here. They are part of the same social fabric.
