Every once in a while I tell people from other countries about how the health insurance system works in the US and they are aghast. Yesterday a guy straight up didn’t believe me when I said people can die because of not being able to afford medicine. He was sure I meant in the distant past.

Watch of #GalaxyExpress999 continues. Stunned how DARK the show is. Each story is basically ‘being a cyborg is a nightmare and didn’t solve my life’s problems’ which our protagonist Tetsuro absolutely ignores. The shows death count is higher than Captain Harlock, which floored me.
