Two people got murdered in broad daylight by their own government and more and more Minnesotans kept showing up on the streets to protect their neighbors. When you don’t have any moral principles, it’s hard to understand other people who do.

may we remember speaker hortman every time a kid in Minnesota eats their free lunch. every time a trans person moves to mn for safety. when an undocumented person gets their driver’s license or a returning citizen gets to vote. when we have clean energy and electric school buses and warm homes.

Wow guys it's almost like robotaxis like Waymo contribute to the problem of bloated vehicular mass and therefore play a role in ramping up the costs to maintain car infrastructure, which turns into actually entrenching car dependency because a lot of the relevant decision makers can't imagine better

There are broad misunderstandings of the issues faced by the trans and nonbinary community, and it stings even more when the DFL, a nominally progressive party, is unable to lead on those issues. I hate the term “self-deport” so much. What it actually is is “fleeing the country to avoid government persecution.” Just like terms like “enhanced interrogation” aka “torture” it obscures what is happening and I hate how willing media outlets are to use those sanitized terms.

5 years ago, Daunte Wright was shot & killed by a Brooklyn Center, Minnesota police officer. A minor traffic stop became a death sentence for the 20-year-old after then-Officer Kim Potter, a 26-year police veteran, claimed she mistook her gun for a taser. We will never forget. The level of anger normal Minnesota people have at their elected representatives is palpable. It's not about party, but the perceived failure of local/state electeds to do anything of substance to protect residents who pay their taxes and get left facing off alone against masked, armed men.

I’m thinking about order this morning wrt the ICE occupation & the people’s response to it. Because the power brokers expect order through control & obedience to a set of rules they impose. Except the people of Minnesota, while acting very orderly, have managed to subvert the coercive control.

A man taken into custody in Rochester Thursday by federal immigration agents and now held at the Whipple Federal Building in the Twin Cities is a recent organ transplant recipient who is without his needed anti-rejection medication, state Rep. Kim Hicks tells MPR News.
