E Line update: Franklin and Hennepin is a problem area for bus lane scofflaws. Got stuck behind a bunch of them in the northbound bus lane. When traffic started moving, bus missed the green.

First time on LRT from Lake Street station to Mall of America. (These things happen when you have a grandchild & Sea Life.) Anyway, Lake station escalator broken, heaters broken, sidewalk along Hiawatha unshoveled. Met Transit needs to do better. Ride was great & can’t beat parking avoidance.

When I was in Marcy Holmes, taking the 6 to the green line was always incredibly inconvenient. Nearly every time I'd just miss the train. Where I am now the E line is slightly closer, so let's see which is faster to either stadium village or Westgate. Timer stops when I get on the train

If there's any opposition to this, we should all just show up ready to testify in the most graphic (but also polite) way about why clean, well-maintained public bathrooms are essential and a service the city should actually provide.

We stand firm to the belief that the Minneapolis-Hopkins-St Paul metro area is the best bike metro in the nation. But it is pretty unfortunate that there is not a single all ages and abilities tier bikeway connecting to the State Capitol.

New construction in the Elliot Park neighborhood brought park dedication fees, which allowed us to build a new skate park with lighting in 2020 ($400k) and is now paying for additional amenities at Elliot Park and Franklin Steele, including a new youth soccer field, opening 2026 ($1.5 million)

I find this pretty convincing but as ever with these discussions, it doesn't answer at all the question of how we deal with the extra traffic congestion that will be induced by the fact that being driven is much nicer and more convenient than driving a car yourself
