Rep. Agbaje has been a fiercely vocal ally to queer and transgender Minnesotans during her time in elected office thus far. It would be a radical shift backward to elect a homophobic pastor to this seat.

Representative Agabje has been one of the most steadfast and effective advocates for tenant's rights in the State House. Absolutely zero coincidence that's who the Mayor's allies target.

In my experience, there is nothing that radicalizes people against the DFL more quickly than attending a DFL function.

So I've tried to write multiple letter the night before I got on a rafting trip about the DFL Feminist Caucus event and the letters. And I am so angry that I can't even type something to the state DFL (because I'm that pissed). So I'm going to do it here as a thread because I do not have time.

I attended tonight’s MN DFL Feminist Caucus. It was a very disappointing experience on many levels. From misgendering (literally every time) to using diminutives such as honey, sweetie and dear in reference to strong women leaders to being lectured by a white cis man about behavior multiple times…

I'll release something official later, but I'll be pursuing the repeated and at this point malicious misgendering issue within the feminist caucus with the party leadership.

I was present for parts of this meeting. The way that certain people treated Dex and others during this meeting was shameful. The DFL cannot be an inclusive institution as long as many harmful people are permitted to practice exclusion and marginalizing behavior repeatedly without sanction.

Some people really think electing Omar Fateh is going to lead to endless property tax hikes and to those people I would like to say that property taxes have increased 30% over Jacob Frey’s tenure. What we can’t afford is another 4 years of Frey.

The lack of coverage of money in the Minneapolis mayor’s race is one of my biggest disappointments. What there’s been was rote, with no connections or deeper analysis. I miss the alt-weekly days when we had a decent enough platform to publicly shame the dailies on this.

I’m so grateful to live in a city where scenes like this are becoming commonplace. Our public right of way should be designed to ensure people of all ages & abilities can get around safely via all modes of travel. Forced car dependency isn’t good for any of us.

@marymoriarty.bsky.social has utterly transformed criminal prosecution in Hennepin County since her election in 2022. I am grateful for her service, and I look forward to how her vigorous leadership can guide the pursuit of true justice and dignity for the remainder of her term as well.

Today, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners appointed me as the Deputy County Administrator. My areas will include a newly repurposed Disparity Elimination Line of Business, the Health Line of Business, and the Human Services Line of Business.

Not that anyone cares, but… I had a higher vote share on the first ballot at the 62B convention (where I promptly conceded to and endorsed now State Rep Anquam Mahamoud) than Frey did on the first ballot at this year’s City Convention. (1/2)
