So I've tried to write multiple letter the night before I got on a rafting trip about the DFL Feminist Caucus event and the letters. And I am so angry that I can't even type something to the state DFL (because I'm that pissed). So I'm going to do it here as a thread because I do not have time.

The low bar of being an ally today is to sign onto this letter.

This letter is now live and ready for signatories! We are asking cisgender allies in Minnesota who consider themselves members of the DFL to sign on to show support for trans people here.

Full disclosure, I: A. attended last night's dinner and enjoyed it (ran into over a dozen DT neighbors attending); B. don't have a strong opinion about buses on Nicollet Mall (use transit all the time and appreciate 2nd/Marquette for buses and Nicollet for biking/walking/patio eating).

To the Feminist Caucus & MN DFL leadership: in re the email you sent, it proves to me that the values of the caucus do not align with my own. It’s deeply disappointing. 1/2

I attended tonight’s MN DFL Feminist Caucus. It was a very disappointing experience on many levels. From misgendering (literally every time) to using diminutives such as honey, sweetie and dear in reference to strong women leaders to being lectured by a white cis man about behavior multiple times…

Ultimately they want to weaken Minneapolis power has in the DFL. The power that pushed for a $15 min wage. The power that up zoned the entire city to build housing. This all goes back to the a 2013 DFL convention when largely renter delegates endorsed Bender over NIMBY Tuthill changing the the tide.
