A few post election thoughts: 1. Progressive wins in Mpls council and park board races was greatly aided by a robust mayoral race. In that sense Fateh, Davis, and Hampton assisted the overall mission. 4 years ago Frey won the council along with reelection. This time he won but lost down ballot.

For some reason there's something special about fenced-off (or removed) stairways. I'm thinking of two in the more topographically blessed city of Saint Paul: - from Kellogg Blvd to MN History Center - from University Ave W to Menards (not public though conceivably in the public ROW?) before/afters

Case in point: this morning I saw multiple people walking - and in this case, rolling - on the street under Hiawatha on Franklin since the sidewalk is fenced off.
