Yeah realpolitik etc, but laying on bells, whistles and pomp for a head of state who says "immigration destroys countries from within" is, by definition, another step into the void

Want to be clear that the predictable violence against the police wasn't the only problem with yesterday's march It's that 100,000 angry racists gathered in London for the biggest racist march in 50 years, and anyone not white had to steer clear The govt can't see that because they are inadequate.

Today people went around my neighborhood in north east London spray painting St George’s crosses onto people’s homes. Many of these houses have non British people living in them. This is getting very dark, very quick.

Just for perspective, a few weeks ago roughly 100,000 turned up for the London Trans+ Pride march. By contrast fewer than 3,000 ACROSS THE WHOLE COUNTRY, have turned up to anti-asylum "protests". Yet we are meant to take the latter as "the voice of the people" and the former as "the minority".

There's a fairy tale by Terry Jones in which Dr Bonoculus makes a Faustian pact, calculating an eternity spent in the devil's company will at least be stimulating. But when he descends to Hell to pay his part of the bargain it turns out that he's truly damned because the devil is a babbling idiot.

Exit Planet Dust by the ChemBros is 30! 🎂 This album has been an absolute constant for me. Played it endlessly when it first came out and still listen to it regularly all these years later. Oh, and Three Little Birdies is still one of the biggest ‘bangers’ ever made.

This is bullshit. You can say there are costs, you can even claim the costs outweigh the benefits. But to say that immigration has caused incalculable damage is not just hugely offensive to millions of people and their families, but simply empirically demonstrably wrong

We have a desperate shortage of care workers. This has a catastrophic effect on the NHS too. Labour’s decision to close the care worker visa scheme for overseas recruitment is appalling, kneejerk politics that - yet again - will penalise the most vulnerable.

We've been talking an awful lot about how the Trump tariffs will hit the big players: the UK, China, Canada, France, Germany etc But it's time to talk about the ones who DON'T have loud voices. Because some of the poorest countries in the world are going to be crippled by what happened last night

Trump is treating these tariffs like an Apprentice episode, isn’t he? Nothing matters except that the whole world has to be waiting for this massive twat to make his pronouncement. He wants to turn the whole planet into garbage TV.
