Two things are true: No one deserves to die. No child deserves to lose their parent. No good will come from this moment. Charlie Kirk significantly contributed to the epidemic of gun violence which took his own life. We must fight against the move to make him a martyr

condemnations of political violence are well taken but it does feel as if some prominent political commentators are of the view that violence isn’t a part of the history of American politics and that is very much not true.

He didn’t have to die like that. He also didn’t have to live like that.
