Yeah, I've got my own crowdfunding, but I can't not mention Apocalypse World 3e. Apocalypse World is one of the most influential games to arise out of the innovative indie side of gaming. It's literally created a whole subsector of the industry: Powered by the Apocalypse. A 3e is huge news.

it is apparently rumour season for what comes once Super Sentai ends, & while I suspect it's some shape of Metal Heroes... a guy can dream that they just bring back the Fushigi Comedy Series we deserve to have a space for more live-action mahou shoujo (and to bring back kid detectives!)

Not til you mentioned it! 😔 Truly end-of-an-era stuff—I don’t even watch Sentai as much, but its format was instrumental to the shape & longevity of tokusatsu as a genre. I don’t think Toei has officially said anything, & I’d be curious what it means for its entire timeslot, but still, a shame.

I think what the Mamdani's-dad's-cousin-is-his-aunt non-story reveals about white sociopolitics writ large is not merely that they will turn anything into an opportunity to distrust a person of colour, but "extended 'family'" is anathema to a certain flavour of whiteness, out of ignorance or spite.
