Sometimes I love how the internet is the place where people say being on the internet is bad and people who do it for too long are bad, broken, or untrustworthy people. Especially the dash of ableism. Sweet. Very 'telling the fish to stop drinking the water' energy.

You know what I miss? Writing poetry in the same room as other people. I want/need to do a regular workshop thing so badly, y'all. I haven't worked on a piece in the camaraderie of other wordsmiths in a single shared physical space in so long that a part of me feels like I'm atrophying, frankly.

to be sure, another reason to be vigilant about the use of AI in creative spaces is because even when backlash is available it is only leveraged against marginalised communities, and there is a habit to not take certain communities at their word even when real bad actors are forthcoming about AI use

"separating the art from the artist" is an analytical tool. it arrests the impulse to try to read the artist's mind when you're interpreting their work. if you want an adage to keep in your pocket when you're making consumer choices, try "follow the money."

I'm currently watching Quinns Quest's latest vid on Public Access, and it has reinvigorated my desire to a.) do an AP of a Carved From Brindlewood game and b.) run a game in meatspace for a group of people.
