If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.

The decision a lot of universities face now is whether to: -- have their federal funding pulled because they stood on principle to protect their students and the integrity of their research, or -- have their funding pulled anyway just because they exist, regardless of how cravenly they submit.

I just saw Trump’s latest executive order targeting trans kids and shutting down their health care. I’m asking all of us to stand up with one voice for the trans community.

Seems like the most on-brand thing I can do is post a picture of my cats! They look almost the same, but the easiest way to tell them apart is their eyes: Cricket (left) has one eye, while Ditto (right) has two.

My original plan for Bluesky was to use it only for following up their people, not posting anything myself. But given the changes to Facebook/Meta, I’m not really comfortable using that platform anymore. Tentatively planning to make this the main social media I use going forward.
