Yeah so about this: I started in campaign field ops as an organizer . I built relationships and ascertained what people cared about to move them successfully When I moved to running my own biz, and learning about selling my services it clicked it was a similar, but more advanced skill set 🤷🏾‍♀️

I am very tired of the stupid-savvy 'oh you think politicians were honest before Donald Trump' take, like yes there has in fact been a qualitative change in the way modern american politics have been conducted that is largely attributable to him, and is bad.

Literally me this morning: “Why am I seeing the lame WaPo pod across my feed?!”

*laughs bitterly* at completely predictable SCOTUS decision on Alabama maps Meanwhile the Virginia Dem elected leadership is like: Using a procedural move to retire the entire Supreme Court in Virginia “is an incredibly extreme step to take over a decision you don't like”

The reason Virginia Dem elected leaders give for not pursuing the nuclear SCOVA option: the voting software is too old… AYFKM? We can’t just hire more people to update it faster? Or use AI? (If EVER there was a use for it) Or send out the ballots by hand like we did before computers?

As someone who was active in the ranks of the Democratic Party of Virginia, and worked really hard to fundraise and organize to elect a lot of Democrats in leadership in Virginia, I am NOT happy about this When your opponent is firing cannons at you, go nuclear. THIS is how Dems stay losing!

In writing my book, The Instigators, I write about how if Black mothers did not come into activism by the time they were parents, they did afterwards, to fight for loved experiencing systemic discrimination. Happy Mothers Day to Black Mamas and all the mamas, fighting for a more just world

I hope Sinema and Manchin have an absolutely crappy day, weekend, month, and year. Because had they broken the filibuster to support voting rights when they had the chance, much of what happened this week could’ve been slowed down or stopped.
