At its core, the BDS is a non-violent peaceful movement. It is therefore by default protected free speech as enshrined in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Governments don't have rights. People do. Among them is the right to boycott. In 2015, Illinois passed an anti-BDS law punishing companies that boycott Israel. 38 states followed. If you believe governments must tolerate criticism rather than criminalize it, now is the moment to act.
