If ICE truly were targeting "the worst of the worst" and not, you know, deliberately brutalizing innocent families with children, they'd rush to correct all the stories like this one, apologizing and insisting it's not what they're really doing. They don't because this is deliberate. This is it.

These glorified algorithms are not capable of "self reflection" (there is no 'self' there). They spit back information (and misinformation!) they've collected (often in violation of copyright). And that regurgitation can of course include information that these bots can suck.

When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.
