Hi, I think people should only work because they want to and have something to contribute to society, and people want to do so its in our nature. We should not be coerced by homeless & starvation into working tedious meaningless jobs. The human requirements for survival should be the public commons.

We're at Is a trillion dollars too little to give to the richest few people in America, and how many poor and sick people can we let die to pay for it, stage of American capitalism? $1 trillion for the Pentagon, another $1 trillion for the uber rich, and no healthcare, housing or affordable food.

While they are dragging us into the gutter, some of us need to be building scaffolding to towering achievements of more adaptive, healthy, and empowering communities.

We can, should and must end poverty. First, at home here in the United States of America, then globally. It should be our top priority. It can simultaneously address many or all of our intersectional issues of injustice. Rapidly reducing poverty should be a legal requirement of states & all gov.

The person who is now the President of the United States, an office previously held by flawed but often deeply thoughtful and sometimes great men in their own ways, recently called a woman reporter "Ms Piggy" because she asked why he was covering up his perverted criminal past.

Congressmembers should be required by law to live in the poorest community they represent, and in dorm-style communal housing in Washington, D.C., when they are at work. @aoc.bsky.social what do you think?

I had a friend in South Carolina that was running for Congress years ago. I asked a CA Congressperson if she would help her and she asked, "Does she have at least $3 million? Because otherwise she'd just be wasting my time."

over the years, people have told me they think congresmembers should be lawyers because they write laws. no, they really don't. they have others do that. sometimes even lobbyists. I think wisdom, honesty, empathy for and a connection to the common person, should be the most important requirements.

we started watching Being Eddie on Netflix. I remember sneaking downstairs to watch SNL after my bedtime and laughing so hard I thought I would wake up my parents, whose bedroom was right over the den.

nobody should have too much money, power, or both.

nobody in the entire world should go without food, housing, healthcare, shoes, sanitation, or the basic needs of human survival. Certainly not while immense wealth is taken from the many to be hoarded by a relatively tiny group of insane people.
