This is addressed to everyone, but especially Americans under the age of 30: Read dystopian novels. Read 1984, and Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451, and White Noise, and—fuck—even Hunger Games. So many of you just aren’t getting what’s been happening just because you don’t read.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Humiliating people because they’re poor is directly related to seeing poverty as a personal rather than a policy failure. It’s much easier to write off poor folks as deficient on an individual level than hold society (and policies and institutions) accountable on a larger level It’s moral laziness.

Middle East analysts say Trump's deal with Iran is a humiliating defeat for the United States. A guy who shits himself in public and thinks windmills cause cancer says it's an amazing foreign policy triumph. For busy Americans, it can be hard to know who to trust.

Put into context if 700,000 children received $400/month in food aid, it would come to $3.36 billion a year- less than 1% of the additional $350 billion Trump wants for the military.

Trump did not reach a settlement with the government. There was no case to settle. He has not created a slush fund. He has colluded with Todd Blanche to steal money from the US Treasury. This is not a “deal.” This is a crime for which Trump & Blanche must be prosecuted. It ia a crime.
