My jaw is still hanging open bc I learned that this cousin had had epilepsy for years & it was not common knowledge among most of the family. No autopsy but I learned that she fell backwards down the stairs & hit her head. If ever there was an argument for living life to the fullest, this is it.

And for me, quite literally continuing to live and breathe was my biggest achievement of the year 🏆

I may have had to go to a very sad funeral today but at least I looked kinda badass at it

Today I’m attending a funeral for my cousin, 67, who fell down her basement stairs & died. She was widowed & lived in an old farm house that she spent all year fixing up as she finally had the time after retiring from the post office where she had worked for a gajillion years. It breaks my heart.
