The Founders never called America "God's noble experiment." Their real experiment was something far more remarkable: a government deriving its authority from "We the People," not divine authority, with constitutional protections for every American's freedom of conscience.

Public officials should stop attributing invented quotes to the Founders. The actual Constitution is far more important than the myths politicians keep repeating.
