I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable. We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina. A vote for this bill is a mistake.

The Democratic Party is historically unpopular with its own voters. Caving to Trump and getting nothing in return will only bring these numbers down further. It’s a historic failure—and an opportunity to push for changes to the electoral system.

This vote has not happened yet. Call your Senators, especially your Democratic Senators, and tell them that a deal without protection NOW for health insurance tax credits is unacceptable.
