nrk, the norwegian national broadcaster, ran the charlie kirk memorial live and without commentary. there is definitely not enough endemic context for this event on the ground here: itās pure propaganda. a truly depraved editorial decision, probably merely in the service of the click counter

Lately Iāve been dealing with bad fatigue so today I had some energy to iron the linen and wrap it around wood panel to start working on a new piece for the series on the wall. Maybe you remember the first two. I have two more ideas to complete the series.

I can and do happily exist without Target or Hulu or Paramount+ or the NY Times or the Washington Post etc etc. Just keep giving me reasons to save my money or put it towards local businesses and/or independent media.

I am working on a gated space for Blacksky Feed posters that will be available on
blacksky.community
. It will probably be text only.
@germnetwork.com
is working on encrypted DMs. X/IG/FB style private accounts is a thing being discussed by some developers and is possible but taking time to solve.

While I got my knuckles rapped by corporate America for being rude and tasteless about a guy who dreamed of the stoning of me and everyone I love, Fox's Brian Kilmeade advocated explicitly for the state murder of all homeless people -- on live TV, no less -- to virtually no response.

I've used the line many times: "Everyone should be in a band. If you can't find a band, the government should assign you to one." It's a funny line. But I really fucking mean it.

Something I've noticed lately is how, in the shadow of America's increasing loud anti-trans rhetoric, every time there's a "here's what it means to be Canadian and fight back in the face of These Hard Times" there are also no trans people involved. Like our elbows don't go up the same way.

people who want other people to stay in sad little grey boxes forever and never be happy in their bodies or desires are villains and cowards and they may be winning right now but by god they will lose as water smooths stone and roots break it, because that fierce joy is roots and water and life

This is one of those issues that later-era Steve Albini was 110% correct on: digital media is fundamentally too unstable, too vulnerable to erasure, to be the āpermanent recordā of anything, ESPECIALLY political/governmental records.
