My family has fostered seven dogs, one at a time, since last November and it’s been wonderful. We’re not expanding our roster (we have 2 perma-dogs) but it’s taught us a lot about what kind of dogs we are and aren’t compatible with. Highly recommended! Here’s who we’ve hung out with:

I went straight from watching season 2 of Sneaky Pete to the miniseries Black Rabbit. This means several hours of watching my old friend @johnales.bsky.social being a mountain of malice and trouble. But in reality, he’s nice! … or so he appears.

In this week's newsletter, a couple looked at their wedding photos and found a guy NO ONE KNEW. The mystery has now been solved, the guest identified, and the explanation is the funniest possible one imaginable.

I can testify to the emotional and spiritual jolt of seeing and connecting with Springsteen live. I had been to lots of concerts previously, but when I saw him for the first time when i was 40, my whole world shifted. Good shows when the artist and audience are on concert together are pure gold.

I will listen! I'm 60 and I go to hear music often. The immediacy and alive-ness and fellow feeling and !dancing! are a tonic. Next week is Black Joe Lewis and TV on the Radio.
