There was a lot of interesting worldbuilding in One Battle After Another, from the groups to some of the technology to the towns. Thematically fully felt anchored in our world but also some interesting little flourishes.

I finally saw Superman! I thought the tone worked. The Marvel movies have become much too overwrought. I enjoyed the kinetic pace and all the fun ideas in this movie. It was successful to me in its depiction of Superman’s cherishing of all life as his central mover. I buy it as quietly radical
