Yeah, if your fandom is still on Twitter, you need to talk to your fandom. There is nothing that website provides that is worth what you’re contributing to by using it AND how it is impacting your thinking in ways you probably don’t even realize (there is research on this now).

If X is where you can see the latest posts from a community that is important to you, it is well past time for you to be willing to sacrifice seeing all of that stuff for a little while, and put work into bringing it here (or to a forum, or Discord, whatever). Fandoms will go where people go.

AI has no place in art, writing, or research. Full stop. Don't come into my replies to tell me how your way of using it is okay. It isn't. LLMs rely on stolen work, destroy the environment, hallucinate garbage responses, and damage people's empathy & critical thinking.

Two years ago I had my agents ask authors seeking blurbs if they had used LLMs in the writing or research for their novels. If yes, then I won’t read their books. I know I could be lied to. If I am lied to, I will LOUDLY retract my endorsement. I hope more writers might adopt a similar policy.
