This couplet from Vayalar has been on my mind lately. I fell in love with it the first time I heard it, ages ago. Its essence is what I’ve believed in all my life. "സ്നേഹിക്കയില്ല ഞാന്‍ നോവുമാത്മാവിനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചിടാത്തൊരു തത്വശാസ്ത്രത്തെയും” Poorly translated as: “I will not love a philosophy that does not love the suffering soul”
