Call me Ishmael. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—having little to no money in my crypto x FTX wallet, and nothing particular to interest me on twitch, I thought I would discord surf a little and see the wavy part of the chat.

I like that we spent decades roasting contemporary Christian music and pop evangelicalism for trying to “remain relevant for the youth”, and now some doofuses in secular publishing think they can do it too.

idk why everyone is complaining, i think it's cool that they are building the ship from CONTACT (1997) on the white house lawn. the liberal media says it won't work again but they are IGNORING that approximately 18 hours of static was recorded on that fateful day. explain THAT

Most of you will hate this, but Turner inventing CNN was a legacy accomplishment and a net positive; he was one of the first people to understand that the world was too big and moved too fast for people to wait for a brief summary of events on the 6:30 p.m. news.

Ted Turner had an instinct for mergers, a lot of charm, an inhuman level of self-confidence, AND a wildly overinflated sense of what he could pull off, and if I were to pick a single deal that represented all of those qualities, it would be "I think I can turn Jane Fonda into a trophy wife."

Ted Turner has died. Little while back, I wrote about his life and career for Still Alive magazine--a category that Turner has now, sadly, left for good. A monumental figure who changed the world, until the world moved on and left him behind.

helpful thing when navigating discourse on here is knowing that when a leftist says "liberals" will do some heinous act, theyre actually talking about a specific person they dislike. when liberals say a "leftists" will do some heinous act, they are also talking about a specific person they dislike.
